The growth of diploid and tetraploid Meth-A cells in co-cultures at low temperature was examined by flow cytometry (FCM). The diploid and tetraploid Meth-A cells in co-cultures proliferated slightly faster than those in independent cultures of each cell type at 37℃. At low temperature, 34℃, the cell populations in co-cultures grew as well as the diploid cells, while tetraploid cells did not, suggesting that cooperative effects between diploid and tetraploid Meth-A cells occurred at low temperature.
