Locomotory movements of male and female adults of the cryptomeria twig borer, Anaglyptus subfasciatus were observed in the wind tunnel to examine the presence of sex pheromone. Female moved toward the upwind significantly faster when a male was placed at the upwind end of the wind tunnel than when a female or no beetle was placed. Numerous tube, which may play a role of excreting pheromone, were observed in the cuticle of male pronotum, but not on female pronotum.
