A new species of the jumping plant-lice is described under the name of Trioza ternstroemiae from Tokyo and Chiba Prefectures, and Okinawa-honto of the Ryukyus. It feeds on Ternstroemia gymuanthera, and differs from the other members of the genus Trioza in having characteristic maculation on the forewing.
