犬における胸骨への悪性大動脈小体腫瘍の異常転移(病理学)

悪性大動脈小体腫瘍の胸骨への異常転移が5歳の雌イングリッシューセッターに見られた.レントゲン撮影では, 心臓の基底部に異常な腫瘤およびT11とL2脊椎, 右大腿骨, 右肩甲骨頚部棘下窩付近に骨融解性病変が認められた.剖検では, 気管・気管支リンパ節と心臓の基底部のみならず, 骨においても種々の大きさの多発性腫瘍が観察された.L2とT11の腫瘍は脊椎管に突出し, 対応する脊髄を圧迫することによる対麻痺が発現していた.病理組織学的には, 腫瘍細胞は多角形, 弱いエオジン好性, 多量の顆粒状の細胞質と円形から卵円形の核を有し, シート状ないし巣状に配列しており, 時折多形性の巨細胞が散在した.超微形態学的検査では, 腫瘍細胞の細胞質には電子密度の高い膜に覆われた小分泌顆粒が多く見られた.本症例は悪性動脈小体腫瘍が胸骨に転移した非常に稀な症例であると考えられる.
