Photoinduced Effect on Surface Spin Wave Modes in Hydrogen Ion-Implanted YIG Thin Films

Photoinduced effect is observed by the decrease ΔH_p of ferromagnetic resonance field of surface spin wave modes in the H^+_2 implanted layer of YIG films during light irradiation. Etching depth dependence of the resonance field H_r of surface spin wave modes and ΔH_p is measured. The depth for the maximum of ΔH_p is deeper than that of H_r. With 250℃, 30 minute annealing ΔH_p is remarkably reduced. The decrease ΔH_p in as-implanted films is attributed mainly to generation of Fe^<2+> ions with hydrogen presence. Relaxation of ΔH_p with annealing is also studied.
