Using the method of solution of Hilbert and Schmidt, the spectrum of radiation is recovered from an integral equation expressing the relation between the spectrum and its multiple-beam interferogram. The instrumental function does not show the noticeable side lobes which appear in Fourier spectroscopy, and, in addition, the resolution is greatly improved.
