A far infared Fourier spectrometer of modified Micheison type is constructed, with which an optical path difference twelve times as the displacement of the movable mirrors can be realized. The performance of the spectrometer is examined by using water vapour and gaseous experimental resolution is 0.11 cm^-1 and the accuracy in determining the wave-number is 0.01 cm^-1. The coefficients of J and J^3 in the expression giving the wave-number of rotational lines in the methyl alcohol spectrum are estimated to be 1.608cm^1 and 0.75 x 10^-5 cm^-1 respec-tively.
