Ion Irradiation Effects on Critical Current of Superconducting Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Films

The critical currents under applied magnetic field are measured by the resistive method in polycrystalline Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O films after He ion irradiation at room temperature. The critical current decreases by irradiation and is inversely proportional to the resistance in the normal state after irradiation. The critical current is recovered appreciably by annealing at 400℃ after irradiation.
