The "rotating-disk method"(Mingotaud et al., 1995) is a powerful technique for obtaining Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films with controlled in-plane organization. However, the efficiency of this method depends highly on the materials employed and could be reduced for some compounds. In this letter, we propose a two-disk version of the rotating-disk method to control the in-plane organization in LB films more efficiently and more universally. Furthermore, the observed phenomenon is well described by a simple model of the orientation mechanism which is also proposed in this letter.
