The authors have already proposed an optical parallel logic device using two liquid crystal panels and three color polarizers with suitable absorption property. This device can execute all sixteen types of binary logic by changing the wavelength and direction of polarization of incident light. In this paper, the authors propose an optical parallel logic device in which the number of wavelengths required for the operation is decreased from four to three, thereby eliminating the need for a steep absorption edge for the color polarizers, which enables the use of commercially available color polarizers.
