Various organic compounds were obtained after decomposition of Polyvinylchloride using supercritical water. This shows the possibility of using supercritical-water treatment technology in the feedstock recycling of PVC waste. The chlorine atoms in the PVC were recovered as HCl in water, which shows the toxicological safety of this technique.
