An equivalent circuit expression of an ultrasonic motor is investigated from the viewpoint of systematization of research on an ultrasonic motor. That is, the authors considered the equivalent circuit and measured its elements in actual motion of the motor, which consisted of a L1-B8 multimode rectangular vibrator of a thin form. This investigation is useful for analysis of the actual motor characteristics and the motor design. The measuring method of the elements and the results are described herein.
