Highly grain-reoriented YBa_2Cu_3O_x (YBCO) bulk samples have been produced by cold pressing and annealing treatments. Grain-reorientation was improved by repeated annealing around the tetragonal-to-orthorhombic phase transition temperature in flowing oxygen. The grain-reorientation was found to be sensitive to the superconducting phase purity.
