We fabricated cells having the structure of Au/LB/air-gap/Au in order to eliminate the influence of both the inherent oxide layer formed on electrodes and metallic wires through the LB film. We then investigated the dynamic behavior of constituent molecules in the LB film by measuring the thermally stimulated current (TSC) in a short-circuit condition while the cell was heated at a constant heating rate. TSC peaks were observed at temperatures of -190℃, -40℃ and about 90℃, and these peaks were assigned to the relevant discharge mechanism relating to the thermal relaxation of molecules in the LB film. Finally, it was concluded that TSC peaks were obtained even when the number of deposited layers was one.
