Crosslinked poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) of gel fractions from 0.17 to 0.85 was crystallized from melt under uniaxial compression at various compression ratios (CR). The structure of the samples was studied by X-ray diffraction methods. The PVDF composed of form I and II crystals was obtained by this crystallization method. At the same time, orientation of the particular crystal planes of forms I and II parallel to the film plane appeared. The amount of form I and the degree of orientation increased with increasing CR. In PVDF with a gel fraction of about 0.7, films mainly composed of form I crystals were obtained under high CR.
