Submicron-size fluctuations caused by thermal interference in domains are measured by laser scanning microscopy. Successive domains are about 0.1 μm longer and wider than those having no adjacent domains. Observations by laser scanning microscopy clarify that the readback signal fluctuation is caused by domain-size fluctuation.
