This paper is concerned with a long time operation of HCN far infrared laser oscillation. The Baser oscillation has been conventionally obtained by means of a flow method. On the contrary, the pulsed oscillation was performed in a seal-off tube in the present study. A weak but stable 337 μm oscillation continued for a long time up to 70 hours in gas mixtures of BrCN+H_2 or BrCN+CH_4, and a strong oscillation in C_6H_6+N_2+H_2+Br_2 and CH_2Br-CH_2Br+N_2+H_2 with a duration of 1 to 4 hours. Replacement of H by D did not give a long time oreration. The role of bromine in the maintenance of oscillation will be discussed briefly.
