Some light-intensity-dependent effects on the propagation behaviour of a light wave which is generated through optical-mixing effect due to induced nonlinear polarization of third order in the electric-field strength is theoretically analyzed by the simple coupled-amplitude equations. In the region where the path-length z of the incident light beams in the medium is fairly long, the oscillating behaviour of the power density with z which is generated through the mixing process deviates from what is usually defined by the coherence-length l_c. Under certain experimental conditions, correction of more than several percents in the coherence length is expected. In the case when the power of an incident wave is absorbed in the medium through single or double-photon-absorption process, this oscillating behaviour would be strongly damped.
