The present paper investigates the stability of an inviscid layer of homogeneous fluid between parallel plates under the action of a uniform adverse temperature gradient while the fluid is having a general streaming which depends only on the coordinate transverse to this streaming direction. A sufficient condition of stability is obtained for the above system and further it has been shown that this model is an unstable one howsoever small the applied adverse temperature gradient may be.
