A multi-channel high-voltage regulator system has been developed, in which each channel supplies a photomultiplier with an independently regulated high voltage. A regulator in the channel produces a regulated output high voltage from a common unregulated high voltage power supply. In the regulator, an opto-coupler is used through which an error amplifier drives a pass transistor. The output high voltage of the channel is adjusted through a 12-bit digital to analog convertor which is made of CMOS digital IC's. A microprocessor is incorporated in the system to keep the individual output high voltages within permissible deviation through digital feedback.
