A guide to make the triple point cell of water for calibrating precise thermometers with an accuracy of 0.1 mK is studied from a practical point of view. The triple point cell of water can be made by a simple method of filling it with usual distilled water of 〜10^5 Ω・cm in resistivity under ordinary atmosphere and then degassing the water by pumping at 40℃ for an hour, degassing result being assumed by observing no bubbles of air in the ice mantle made immediately after sealing the cell.
