The sensitometry of photographic materials with laser light and normal light was investigated. A He-Ne laser (6328Å) and an Ar-ion laser (5145Å, 4880Å, 4579Å) were used and photographic materials were panchromatic, micro and infrared films. It was clearly seen experimentally that the gammas of the photographic materials were different for coherent and incoherent light. The gamma of coherent light was greater than that of incoherent light. Further, the variation of the values of γ for coherent light, when the total light energy was kept constant, was observed.
