Time behavior of the laser emission spectrum at 82 K during the excitation pulse of 20 keV electron beam is investigated. Temperature dependence of the wavelength of spontaneous and laser emission is measured from 82 to 300 K. Using the temperature dependence of the spontaneous emission peak, the transient temperature rise during the excitation pulse is obtained from the shift of the spontaneous emission peak. The temperature decay after the pulse is also measured in order to obtain the temperature relaxation time of the excited surface. The shift of the laser wavelength during the pulse is explained by the temperature rise of the active region using the temperature dependence of the laser wavelength.
