4. Memory Effect Functions and Time Domain Simulation for Motions of a Moored Marine Structures

Time-domain simulation are discussed for marine structures with nonlinear water waves, the calculation method of memory effect functions is proposed for the three-dimensional case as well as the two dimensional one. Usefulness of the time domain simulation by the convolution integral equation (C.I. method) is demonstrated for buoys with strongly nonlinear mooring systems by comparing with experimental results.
