• The uncertainties in the non-destructive inspection techniques and the information on the probability distribution function of defect in a given structure were taken into account to use effectively the results of NDI. Baysian analysis was found effective for the estimation of the probability of defect in the inspected structure even if there were very few data on the delectability of NDI and PDF of the initially existed defects.
