Health needs of the retired workers were checked by means of the morbidity, health examination and Cornell Medical Index-health questionnaire (C.M.I.). The controls were chosen from the people of the same ages having no experience of being employed. The results were as follows: 1) The health status and the morbidity of the retired workers have had a close relationship with the jobs after the retirement, which shows a high correlation with those before the retirement. 2) The Morbidity has increased gradually from three years before the retirement to two years after it, and then has remained at an equibrium. 3) Comparing the health status of the retired with that of the control group by means of C.M.I.-health questionnaire, the author has found that the retired workers have more complaints in mental and emotional questions and less in physical ones. 4) After the retirement, they have had scarce chances to get periodical health examination, their interest and requirement for it also seem to be not so high.
