When one talks about the effect of advertising communication, the use of "parody" is one of the more effective design techniques that come to mind. Focusing on this method, I have analyzed a collection of "parody advertising" and have classified the samples into nine types, as follows : 1) Parody of art 2) Parody of scenery 3) Parodies of film, theater, and television 4) Parodies of newspapers, magazines, books and posters 5) Parodies of dictionaries and illustrated guides 6) Parodies of citations and business cards 7) Parody of eye charts 8) Parody of "before-after" use 9) Parody of advertisements
