The localization of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) in peach seedlings (Prunus persica [L.] Batsch 'Momo Daigi Tsukuba 4') was investigated using immunocytochemical technique. In meristematic cells of root tip, the gold particles were accumulated in nucleolus, while in leaf cells, they were mainly associated to chloroplasts and mitochondria. Physiological meaning of these localizations was discussed.
