Two patterns were found in the shifts of absorption peaks in spectra of intact etiolated Pharbitis cotyledons illuminated at room temperature. One was a well-known pattern, P649→C678→C683→C672, called the "high-intensity illumination pattern" in this study. The other, called the "low-intensity illumination pattern," was P649→C672.
