In Vol.III (1957) of the 'Annual Report of Studies' of Ferris College, I reported on the first two symphonies of Joseph Haydn under the title of "Haydn's Lukavec Symphonies", in the refference of which I should have elucidated the symphonic efforts of the early classical world. And I might be expected to make clear the thread of relation between the symphonic music of the Old Viennese School and of Haydn in his early age. But this theme has many problems enough to make a new study. As a preliminary essay of this new theme I tried to give some details and construe the problems of early symphonic music of the Vienna in this article. The refference books were following : 'Die Musik des Rokokos und der Klassik' by Ernst Bucken (1928), in which he pointed out eight composers as 'Aelteren Wiener Klassikr' ; and 'Denkmaler der Tonkunst in Oesterreich' XV-II and XIX-II by Guido Adler (1908), in which he compiled the works of them in the name of 'Vorlaufer der Wiener Klassiker' and which is the most important literature of the Old Viennese School, till now.
