• We investigated the modified crystal rotation method in which a pair of prisms attached to the LC cell. We derived the formulation of phase difference and confirmed the range of measurement. For the individual case of 10°, 20°, 30° wedge angle of prism, we compared the simulation result with experimental result. The pretilt angle can be estimated in the full range of 0°〜90°by this method.
