A novel flat-panel structure for FED is proposed, in which aligned CNT film cathode of direct growth is mounted directly on the base plate with elastic assembling technology. The vacuum package is fabricated with some VFD-like process technologies. This structure and the corresponding technologies are stable and reliable at a modest cost. The FED sample of pixel display of this structure is made to verify the display structure and analyze characteristics.
