Concepts, basic system configuration and service scenarios on the new TV broadcasting systems are the main focuses in this paper ; Talk-back TV where viewers can provide program materials and Talk-together TV where viewers can share the experience of enjoying the same content. These new systems will capitalize on the broadband bi-directional transmission capability of the optical fiber based network.
