Three kinds of synthetic juvenile hormones (SJH), farnesyl methyle ether, ethyl farnesoate HCl-product and methylene dioxyphenyl derivative, were examined as to their activities on the morphological change of green peach aphids. The hormones were orally administered to the aphids by adding them to the artificial diets for the aphids. The administration brought about a significant effect on the longevity and fecundity as well as external forms of the aphids. The oral administration method is very useful as a simple bioassay system of SJHs with aphids and as a tool for the physiological survey of the wing formation in aphids.
