• An ecological survey on drosophilid flies in the Bonin Islands was carried out for about two weeks in April, 1973. The present paper reports the obtained results on habitat preference, feeding and breeding habits as well as daily activity, with some discussions on the origin and ecological structure of drosophilid fauna in the Islands.
