• Determination of predatory species on Spodoptera litura larvae in taro fields was attempted using an activable tracer. Arthropod predators and frogs collected in the field, in which Spodoptera larvae fed on diet containing ^<152m>Eu were released at the evening of the previous day, showed detectable radioactive peaks of ^<152m>Eu after the thermal neutron irradiation. Carabid beetles, earwigs and a tree frog were identified as predators of Spodoptera larvae. Food habit of crickets (especially Teleogryllus emma), some of which showed detectable Eu peaks, must be re-examined.
