During our 1964-July survey thirty-five species of the Odonata were obtained from various places of Taiwan. In the same year further eight species and one subspecies were added to them through the cooperation of Mr. Y. I. Chu, Entomological Laboratory, National Taiwan University, Taipei. The most interesting species may be Aeschna taiyal Asahina which was first described in 1938 based upon several specimens taken at high mountains of Taiwan, and now again obtained from a mountain pond, ca. 2200m, on Mt. Alishan. It may also be interesting to note that the same species was recently captured on a mountain near Kathmandu, Nepal. Another interesting record may be the rediscovery of Southasiatic Hydrobasileus croceus, which was only once, in 1913, recorded by Ris from Taiwan, but has never been captured for about fifty years. Besides our 1964 collection, one unrecorded and four little-known species from Taiwan were recorded in this occasion. Lestes concinnus Selys is a new addition to the fauna of Taiwan; Gomphus septimus Needham (=G. pryeri Asahina, 1940 (nec Selys 1883)) and Periaeschna magdalena (Martin) (="Gynacanthaeschna sikkima?" Asahina, 1940) were rechecked and rightly identified here ; another two species, Lathrecista asiatica (Fabricius) and Cratilla lineata (Brauer), were again recorded from Taiwan since about fifty years.
