Individually marked adults of Pieris rapae crucivora BOISDUVAL, 15 males and 26 females, were continuously pursued in 1975 and 1976 to know their activity pattern. Age, sexual and seasonal differences in the flight tendency were found, that is, a highly regressive flight pattern in males and older females, and a gradual dispersal in younger females. These tendencies cause sedentariness of males and older females, and earlier emigration of young females from their place of emergence.
