The destructive methods of analyses of fluid inclusions are reviewed. The informations on the composition of aqueous solutions, content of base metals, gaseous composition and stable isotopic composition of hydrogen, oxygen and carbon are obtained from the analyses of fluid inclusions. In the analyses of fluid inclusions, however, there are some problems peculiar to the fluid inclusion studies. Because of the small volume of inclusions and the intimate occurrence of primary and secondary inclusions in crystals, the selection of inclusions to be analyzed is an important procedure in the analyses. The contaminations of samples originated from the host crystals of fluid inclusions, apparatus and outside of the system are serious in this field. The atomic absorption spectrometric, X-ray fluorescence, neutron activation, mass spectrometric and gas chromatographic methods are suitable for the fluid inclusion studies. Concerning with the stable isotopic composition of water in fluid inclusions, the mixing of waters in the earth crust is reviewed.
