1. The larval nutrition of Diaphania indica on different host plants does not affect the number of eggs produced but it may delay the oviposition slightly. About two-third of the store of oocytes is laid during oviposition period and the number of eggs laid in response to feeding on different hosts remains almost the same. 2. The carbohydrate is necessary to realize full fecundity. The females emerge in incomplete reproductive phase. 3. Both the mating and the host plants serve as oviposition stimuli and all host plants have similar stimulus. 4. The number of oocytes which is almost similar with respect of all hosts, is fixed from the very beginning of the emergence and it does not increase.
