Falcaryus gen. nov. The terminal articles of antennae with 2 groups of sensory hairs. Anterior and posterior clypeus are areolated as a whole. Labrum with several toothlike process. Mandible has 3 dental lobes. The coxae of the first and the second maxillae are syncoxite. Telopod of the second maxilla has 1-4 short saw-like setae on the external margin, and its claw with pectinate hairs. Claw of toxicognath segment with a large irregular triangle process on the internal margin. The last leg has many coxal pores. All the legs have a claw. TYPE-SPECIES: Falcaryus nipponicus sp. nov. Falcaryus nipponicus sp. nov. Body length about 10-13mm, pairs of legs are 33. General colour is yellow, but head and toxicognath segment are deeper brown. Body bristled. Each antenna has 14 articles, including terminal articles with two longitudinal groups of sensory hairs. Frontal furrow is lacking. Clypeus areolated as a whole. Labrum with about ten stout teeth at the middle of the concave. Mandible with teeth in three distinct blocks. Syncoxite of first maxilla without median furrow and lappets. The telopodite and coxal processes with one hair each. Syncoxite of second maxilla with several hairs, and the palpus with hairs on femur, 3-4 hairs on tibia and several hairs on the tarsus, and with short saw-like setae on the external margin of each segment. Claw of tarsus with two lines of pectinate setae. Toxicognatha without process on the margin of coxosternum, prefemur and femur, but with a small process on tibia and large process on the foot of the claw. Especially, the claw has a large irregular triangle lobe on the internal margin. Sternites and legs are hairy. All the claws of the legs are saw-like. Ventral pores are lacking. The last sternites trapezoid, and has three transverse series of hairs irregularly. Coxal pores are about 10, the last leg with more hairs on the dorsal surface than those of the ventral in number. The claw of the last leg is shorter than the others. Holotype; 1 male, collected by Mr. Kamihira at Otanomousu of Shiga-kogen, Aug. 22, 1968. Allotype; 1 female, the data same as above. All specimens preserved in the author's collection.
