In this paper, the design of a mobile broadband satellite access system, called Mobile Broadband Interactive Satellite Multimedia Access Technology System (MoBISAT) is presented. The MoBIST, which is a next generation mobile broadband satellite access system, provides both Ku-band satellite TV and Ka-band high-speed Internet to the passengers and crews for land, maritime, and air vehicles. This paper addresses the main design features of the MoBISAT system.
