Midori-II (ADEOS-II) is the ADEOS(Advanced Earth Observation Satellite) follow on satellite developed by JAXA, with five sensors onboard and they have provided earth observation data continuously from the first data acquisition on January 2003 until the end of operation on October 2003. ADEOS-II Science Program was initiated and led by the science team at JAXA/EORC, where calibration, validation, algorithm development, product generation, science and application have been conducted successfully. Consequently, standard products of AMSR and GLI were released on December 2003. There have been many first results, and the science activity is still going on. Characteristics of the ADEOS-II science program and some of early results were described.
