• The development of new technologies in the last decades such as classroom networks, electronic blackboards, and small local student computers form a technological basis for supporting and enriching not only meeting rooms but also the traditional classroom instruction. This approach is uncommon to the main streams of CSCL, which deal mainly with supporting a distributed learning group in asynchronous mode. In this work we present a research proposal to develop what we called a Computer-integrated classroom, which is a system consisting of hardware and software aimed to support the learning activities of teacher and students in the classroom thus helping to involve the students more actively in a face-to-face learning session.
