Complex and highly visible raster moire patterns of elliptical and hyperbolic types are generated when the scan line pitch and vertical aperture pitch becomes equal. The moire fringes appearing in high-resolution CRT monitors can be made less conspicuous by adjusting the scan line pitch and choosing the less visible fringe patterns.
