A two-stage bandstop filter using the dominant TM<01δ> mode dielectric rod resonators is designed for a bandwidth 36MHz at 12GHz and is constructed by using a low-loss BMT ceramics of relative permittivity of 24. In this filter, a wider bandwidth can be realized because the strong coupling between the resonator and the waveguide can be obtained, and the spurious resoponses disapear below the center frequency because this dominant TM<01δ> resonator has the lowest resonant frequency.
