Much work has been done on the pain mechanism so far. However, there are very few accounts in the literature of the morpholooical studies under the influence of druags et al. for pain relief. So, it is the purpose of this presentation to observe the non-myelinated fibers or C-fibers under the influence of drugs et al., The present studies were performed using the following two experimental models: 1) ultrastructural changes and changes of TMPase (thiamin monophosphatase) activity in the substantia gelatinosa by the lumbar subarachnoidal injection; 2) ultrastructural changes of K-NPPase (ouabain-sensitive and potassium-dependent paranitrophenylphostase) activity by the direct applicatton of drugs et al. to the peripheral nerve.
