Human auditory information processing system was investigated by applying the 3Hz phase lock method which was proposed by the author. The results of left-right differences in the 3Hz-ERP (event related potential)s provided that there is a specific auditory analyzer in the human brain which selects the auditory information to either the left or the right hemisphere, depending upon the physical characteristics of sounds. From the results that the sources of the evoked neuromagnetic components corresponding to N1- and P1-components of 3Hz-ERP were estimated to be around the auditory cortex and the acoustic radiation respectively, the auditory analyzing mechanism was generated by high activity of the corticothalamic feedback.
