The Economic Policy pursued by Henry VII had an important factor for the establishment of the Tudor Absolutism Monarchy. The key of his economic policy was to drive forward the mercantilism. His mercantilism is the prosperity of the cloth trade and the industry. This affected the Merchant Adventurers, who had the leading part of the export of woollen cloth to Antwerp. This treatise, aiming to analysed the character of Henry VII's economic policy-mercantilism, examined the following two problems. 1) the expansion of the cloth trade and the establishment of the cloth trade's monopoly by Merchant Adventurers in Henry VII's reign. 2) the performance of Mercantile policy and the foreign negotiations (commercial treaties) for the promotion of English trade.
