• A statistical model based on a fuzzy random variable is proposed for fuzzy data which include randomness and fuzziness simultaneously, and the effectiveness of this model is clarified. Using this model it is shown that statistical inference on fuzzy data can be induced to inference where only randomness is considered in some cases. Moreover relationship between a fuzzy event and a fuzzy random variable is clarified. And it is revealed that a model based on a fuzzy random variavle is more applicable than a model based on a fuzzy event generally.
